Ready-4-Holidays

Welcome to the St. Patrick's Day holiday of R4H. Just read the crafts, tips, projects, and get started because you've never prepared for a holiday like you're gonna with R4H, brought to you by VITAMIN D!

SECRET LEPRACHAUN

Lighten up someone's mood! Make a four-leaf clover from real clover and clear glue. Put it where she will find it. Then buy a small black plastic kettle and fill with coins, toys and candy. Put it on her pillow or somewhere else she will find it. Watch her face light up when she found out whom it was from!

PATRICK'S PILLOW

Gather a needle and threads, green and white fabric, stuffing, and decorative supplies such as doilies, buttons, patches, and embroidered symbols.
Take the green/white fabric and measure out 16" by 8"-10". This is the typical pillow size. Okay, cut out two of those lengthed fabrics. A really great idea would be to cut out one green rectangle and one white rectangle. Stich on white and shades of green shamrocks on the green side(s) and/or green and pale shamrocks on the white side(s). You can add gold foil, embroider your name or a phrase, etc. Descorate your pillow in any way you like!
Stich them together, leaving a 10" opening. Stuff the pillow up to your desired fluffiness. Also, if you want you can add beans for a beanbag feel. Once done with your stuffing, finish the sewing. Now take a nice nap on your festive pillow or give as a gift!

MAGIC TREASURE BOX

have your child decorate an empty shoe box or tissue box with paints, glitter glue or stickers. Just before bed, she should place the finished box on a windowsill where the moon will shine on it.

Once she's sound asleep, fill the box with small treasures, such as foil-covered chocolate coins, jewelry and a bag of marbles, and then hide it in a special place. All that's left to do is lay a trail of green leaves or paper shamrocks from the windowsill to the box. You can even have the leaves lead to deadends for a challenge.
